Client Discovery
Know what to ask next.
What is the event, and what is it meant to accomplish?
What do you most want guests to feel or remember?
How many guests are you expecting, even a rough range?
What are you hoping we handle, food, beverage, staffing, rentals, or the full event?
Are there dietary needs, allergies, or restrictions to plan for?
As you consider venues, would guidance on catering logistics help narrow the options?
How hands-on do you want the food service to feel, from simple drop-off to fully staffed?
Is the event date confirmed, or still being decided?
What are the start, end, and meal or service times?
Have you established a target investment for catering and beverage?
Which elements of the event are the highest priority for you?
If the vision runs above target, which elements are you most comfortable adjusting?
Are there areas where you would prefer to invest more heavily?
Who else is involved in the decision, and who signs off on the final choice?
What is the timeline for deciding, and what would you like to happen next?
A starting point, adjust to your operation. Good discovery is a conversation, not an interrogation: skip what does not apply, follow up on what matters, and leave unknowns for later rather than forcing an answer on the call.
